We have initiated Karate Classes for Grades KG2 – Grade VII. We believe that all our students should acquire the required stamina for self defence.
Sound Is Power – Sloka Classes
We firmly believe that the sound of Mantra can lift the believer towards the higher self. These sound elements of Sanskrit language are permanent entities and are of everlasting significance. In the recitation of Sanskrit Mantras the sound is very important, for it can bring transformation in you while leading you to power and strength.
By considering the above facts we have initiated Sloka Classes for our students. The teacher inspires children with correct pronunciation and narrates moral stories elaborately which will help students to acquire more life skills.
Visual & Performing Art
Visual Art :Today more than ever the arts are needed by our young people as a forum for safe expression, communication, exploration, imagination, and cultural and historical understanding. We encourage Nachammalians to express their views by drawing, painting, art work etc. We are also trying to impart problem solving skill as well as decision making skill through these activities.
Performing Art : Performing Art is a part of their normal teaching learning opportunities. Apart from this, we have outsourced well trained people from “HelenO’Grady” to teach our young Nachammalians the basic lessons of professional Theatre Classes.
Eco Club of Sri Nachammal Vidyavani plays an important role in creating environmental awareness. It motivates the students to keep their surroundings tidy & clean. Several activities in this regard like poster competition, slogan competition, campus cleaning drive, participation in cycle rallies etc. are organized.
This club aims at educating the students about respecting and protecting our Heritage. To inculcate values of safe-guarding property is essential in this age.
To care for the social well being and bring out the spirit of Joy of sharing, caring and giving, the club collects useful articles during Christmas for needy people.
The main idea is to develop the analytical skill and logical thinking, to inculcate interest in Math, to remove Math phobia, to bring out the hidden talents of the children and to create competitive spirit in children. We have a separate site which is provide numerous activities based on math which can be downloaded and worked out.
N.I.E(Newspaper in Education)
Newspaper carries world news to us. People become intelligent about the current incidents of the world by reading newspaper. Newspaper helps a country to communicate. Newspaper is a storehouse of knowledge. General Knowledge is one of the important parts of education. Reading newspaper is a good way of acquiring knowledge. Reading newspaper helps the students to know various things.
By considering the above facts, we are happy to introduce ‘The Hindu’ daily in our school as a part of regular teaching learning process. On all working days, this news paper will be given to your ward. Inspire your ward to read this newspaper daily. Class teacher initiates this reading session in the classroom.
This will certainly bring changes the outlook of a person in every sector.
Compassionate Citizens Programme
Compassionate Citizen is designed to help students respect and compassion for animals. The CBSE is endorsing the use of Compassionate Citizen, a humane – education programme prepared by People for the Ethical Treatments of India (PETA) in CBSE affiliated schools for children ages 8 to 12 years as a part of their curricula. We have also initiated this programme in our school.
